What is the policy for extra beds in Kengbari Retreat?

Our apartments, rooms and suites are all individually designed, and six out of nine stays has either bed nooks or day beds which can double up as comfortable extra beds. Please refer to the amenities chart below the room descriptions. Also, our beds are king size and can accommodate parents and a single child. Our extra-bed rates are stated in the Rooms and Tariffs section.

What are the charges for extra person?

  • Below 5 years: No charge.
  • 5 years – 12 years: Rs 1000 +tax
  • 12 years & above: Rs 1500 +tax

How child-friendly is Kengbari Retreat?

We encourage families with children to stay with us. We have a six year old boy so we’ve done our best to make the retreat free from trip hazards, slippery surfaces and sharp edges. We’ve created a dedicated play space for them in our restaurant. And we’ve also crafted a special menu for kids. We also have comfortable timber high chairs for their use in the restaurant.

How pet-friendly is Kengbari Retreat?

Quite friendly. Our large area means that there is plenty of space for you and your pet to gambol. For hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed in the pool, under most circumstances. We do not have an extra charge for pets but we will require an undertaking and a deposit, prior to your stay. Please contact us for a copy of the undertaking. Also, because we’re new, we’ll be receptive to any ideas and suggestions and requirements.

What are the facilities for remote working while at Kengbari Retreat?

Great! Kengbari Retreat was conceived as a haven for working vacationers and its reflected in the design of our rooms. We have dedicated desk spaces in most of our accommodation types, and each of these desks has a view. Please consult the layout diagrams and amenities list of the rooms. We have Airtel broadband. We provide caddies if you want to work from your bed! We provide stationery and printer access. Above all we provide a calm environment for you to get your work done, and ample unwinding once your work is done.

Do we allow cooking in your apartment and suites kitchens? 

For long term guests. One of the aims of Kengbari Retreat was to be a home in the hills. We have kitchen spaces in our two apartments and three suites. We allow cooking on induction tops for long-stay guests who are with us for a week or more. We do not have a fee for kitchen use.

How much of the food at Kengbari Retreat is organic?

As much as possible. Being a new enterprise, we have just begun partnering with local growers. We are also boosting our own organic capabilities. In all we hope to become fully organic as soon as possible. In the meantime, we also have to use bulk farm produce in our kitchens as well. If you would like your meal to be fully organic, do let us know, and we’ll do our best to see you happy.

Do we accommodate food allergies?

Yes, if you let us know in advance. If we cannot accommodate those allergies, we will let you know prior to finalizing your booking.

Are there any vegetarian options in your meals?

Yes. You’ll taste the most wholesome vegetarian meals at Kengbari Retreat.

Are there any vegan options in your meals?

No.

Do you do itinerary planning?

Being a standalone hotel, we do not make travel itineraries. But because we know Sikkim so well, we’ll be happy to advise you on sightseeing, activities and further destinations once you are in Kengbari Retreat.

Can Kengbari Retreat supply a cot or crib for my room when I travel with children?

Of course. Please make sure you state that when making your bookings. We do not have a separate fee for baby cots.

  • Check-in Time : 1.00 PM
  • Sign Registration Form: Sign the hotel’s registration form, confirming your agreement to the terms and conditions.
  • Provide Identification: Present a valid ID, passport, or other required documents during the check-in process.
  • Payment Information: Provide a credit card or payment method for room charges and incidental expenses.

Check-Out Rules

  • Check-out Time: 11.00 AM
  • Settle Bills: Clear any outstanding charges, including room service, minibar, or other incidentals.
  • Return Keys or Access Cards: Ensure the return of room keys or access cards to avoid any security issues.
  • Room Inspection: Allow for a room inspection, if required, to confirm no damages or missing items.
  • Provide Feedback: Share your feedback or concerns with the hotel staff to enhance guest experiences.
